We have to go back in the eleventh century to find the first documentation regarding Sibylla in the Cathedral of Valencia. The manuscript 78 of the Archive of the Headquarters includes a Sermo de symbolo with the corresponding verses of Sibila, although it is not easy to justify the presence of this manuscript before the dam of the city by King Jaime I, unless it was acquired after this event.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To follow the documentary trail left by the Sibyl in Valencia, it is necessary to travel to the year 1464 where the Sermo de symbolo occupied the Sixth Lesson of the Christmas Maitines, according to a Breviary preserved in the Valencian Cathedral. Sanchis and Sivera tells us in 1909 that &#8220;in the second night of the matins, the lli\u00e7\u00f3 VI was of Sant Agust\u00ed, on es troba the testimony of the Sibil\u00b7la Eritrea, repetint despr\u00e9s of each d\u00edstic the first: Judicii tellus &#8230; segons es veu in a Breviari valenci\u00e0 of 1464. Despr\u00e9s es van afegir tots els testimonis that will prophesy the vinguda of Jesus Christ, els quals announce the reader in this way: desembre tu, Jeremia, dicat et Isaias.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Of the many preserved versions of the Cant&nbsp;de Sibil\u00b7la, and&nbsp;with the aim of restoring this tradition and reflecting on the coming of Christ to the world and beyond, Carles Magraner, director of <a data-link-type=\"menuitem\" href=\"\/?p=5\" target=\"_self\" title=\"www.capelladeministrers.es\" rel=\"noopener\">Capella de Ministrers<\/a>, restored the 2012 &#8211; for his repercussion- the version of the Cathedral of Valencia under historically documented criteria, with the influences that the Toledan tradition exerted on it and its links with the Mallorcan one, declared in 2010 by the UNESCO Intangible Heritage of Humanity.Una de les interpretacions del Cant de la Sibil\u00b7la m\u00e9s rellevants en el seu moment, a causa de la gran documentaci\u00f3 que conservem, va ser la que s&#8217;interpretava a la Seu Metropolitana de Val\u00e8ncia.&nbsp;Hem de retrocedir al segle XI per trobar la primera documentaci\u00f3 referent a la Sibil\u00b7la a la Catedral de Val\u00e8ncia. El manuscrit 78 de l&#8217;arxiu de la Seu inclou un <em>Sermo de symbolo<\/em> amb els corresponents versos de la Sibil\u00b7la, encara que no \u00e9s f\u00e0cil justificar la pres\u00e8ncia d&#8217;aquest manuscrit abans de la presa de la ciutat pel rei Jaume I, llevat que fos adquirit despr\u00e9s d&#8217;aquesta efem\u00e8ride.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"csRow\">\n<div class=\"csColumn\" data-padding=\"5\" data-posx0=\"0\" data-posx1=\"49.5\" style=\"margin: 0px; padding: 0px; float: left; width:50%;\">\n<div style=\"padding:5px;\">\n<div class=\"csColumn_text\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-align: justify;\">A treasure of our musical and religious heritage lost during five centuries and that now has returned with all its splendor to the Metropolitan Headquarters. A recovery that restored this Song of Sibyl and adapt the whole paraliturgical structure of the drama, for which the replica instruments of the ones that play the angels musicians of the frescoes of the main altar of the Cathedral use. For the restoration Carles Magraner counted on the collaboration of several specialists, like the professor of medieval music MariCarmen G\u00f3mez Muntan\u00e9 (UAB) and especially of the recently disappeared Josep Llu\u00eds Sirera, professor of medieval theater of the Universitat de Val\u00e8ncia, in charge of rewriting the textual adaptation of the drama, especially the Sermon of the Prophets that preceded the Sibylline chant.
