OPEN CALL ANDALUSI MUSIC 2025

The call for proposals is now open to be part of the program for the 14th edition of the Early Music Morella Festival, which will take place from July 18 to 24, 2025.

This call is aimed at groups and/or soloists of Andalusi music, understood as the traditional music of the Maghreb region, particularly Morocco, in its historical form. From the submitted proposals, the organization will select one group and/or up to six soloists and performers of Andalusi music with artistic projects that are stylistically coherent with the Andalusi musical tradition, using traditional instruments from the region and an approach that respects its cultural richness.

The festival’s objective is to promote knowledge and appreciation of historical and traditional music, with a special emphasis on the connection between the music of the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, and the musical tradition of Al-Andalus.
