Les dones de Roís

The Women of Roís: The Triumph of Women
A Multidisciplinary Show of 15th Century Music and Contemporary Dance

This artistic initiative was born from the desire to pay tribute to the cultural and literary richness of the 15th century Crown of Aragon through the emblematic figure of Joan Roís de Corella.
The show combines music, dance, and literature to bring children closer to the world of the 15th century and to the legacy of Joan Roís de Corella, highlighting values such as perseverance, sensitivity, and the strength of women. Through adapted stories such as The Story of Leander and Hero, The Story of Jason and Medea, and The Tragedy of Caldesa, children will discover how, in a world dominated by war and knights, women were also protagonists thanks to their great courage and intelligence.
Featuring music from the period, traditional melodies from East and West, and a vibrant, colorful staging, the performance invites audiences to explore how the role of women has evolved over time. Through this artistic experience, the aim is to inspire young audiences by transmitting universal values such as equality and respect, and connecting them with the beauty and emotion of literature and music.

CdM Project is a contemporary stage proposal created by professional artists connected to Capella de Ministrers, blending early and traditional music with modern languages such as contemporary dance, looping, and sound experimentation. Using historical and traditional instruments, the group reinvents past repertoires through a vivid artistic lens, exploring new formats that combine rigor with creative freedom. The result is a sensory experience that connects roots with innovation, body with sound, and memory with the present.
